Dr Bortel was trained at the Detroit Medical Center in Michigan which included state of the art training at Detroit Receiving Hospital, Harper University Hospital, Children's Hospital of Michigan, Sanai-Grace Hospital, Michigan Orthopedic Specialty Hospital and Beaumont of Royal Oak Michigan.

Training

Dr. Bortel had extensive training at all of the above locations including Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Vascular Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Radiology and Pathology.

In addition, Dr. Bortel completed a Trauma Fellowship overseas in Mainz, Germany.
